Memories
David Rafeedie
Lamia, two years ago on your birthday we were together and I will never forget that week. About a month ago someone asked me how we could be so close given our age difference. I didn't have much of an answer then, but having thought about that question I could answer it better today. You are the reason we were so close. You kept reaching out to me. You wouldn't let us drift apart. I would get a good chuckle from the long phone messages you would leave when I wasn't home to answer the phone. You were always such a bright spot in my week regardless of what was happening in my life. You brought me into your life by sharing your fears, your hurts and the joys you experienced. You are a great example to me of someone who knew how to care and how to love and my desire is to be like you in that regard. You are continually on my mind and I miss you dearly. I love you.

Lamia - you were a wonderful friend & neighbor for 28 years. Your laugh.... I will miss that so much!! You were always so eager for the next event in life. I'll miss our long conversations about family, friends, world events, books to read, etc. I'll miss celebrating our July 4/5 birthdays andother luncheons out just for the fun of it! I'm in awe of the love you had for my Mom and so enjoyed having you join in celebrating her 100/101 birthdays. Your love for Sam is so admired as displayed in your relating your visits to him after he passed away just to "talk" to him. Such a testament to a great, long marriage! We should all be so blessed in life!! As a neighbor. you were alway gracious and helpful, and for that we were alway appreciative. You left us and this life too soon; we know you wanted to stay longer, and we are so sad to had to go, but your reward in joining Sam will be wonderful for you. God Bless. You will be missed so dearly. We loved you. Dee and Mick Hersh

Lamia was our dearest friend since 1997. We met at the nursing home where her mom and our mom (Salloum) were residing. We shared a lot of laughter; whether shopping, eating or at the casino.  We always enjoyed her company and we are already missing her very much. We know Lamia is with Sam in God's garden, enjoying all the good things. We wonder if Fried Rice (Flied Lice) is offerred where she is. We can imagine her laughter following the latter line. Lamia will always remain in our memories forever.

Lamia, you were always my favorite Aunt.  When I was a child, I always got so excited when my parents announced we were going to your house.  As I told you many times, you made the best hummus on the face of this earth.  I've never seen it replicated -I will miss that so much!!!  The way you always greeted me, saying how much you loved me - just like a daughter - and always told me how proud you were of me.  It has meant so much over the years.  Another very special memory I have of you, is how you always told me how much you loved and missed my mom, Mary - she's been gone over 22 years, but you never forgot her.  My dad, Mufid, loved you as a sister and I'll always cherish how close you were.  Thank you for coming to see him with Sam in the days before he passed away.  I'll never forget the long phone conversation we had in January...you made me laugh so hard!  You always had the joy of life and I'll never, ever forget you - I'll do my best to honor your memory all my life by laughing, having fun, and sharing joy with others.  You're the best!  I'll love you all of my days. xoxoxoxo

Mom, I loved talking to you on the phone every week.  I loved when I could visit you like when we got together in Las Vegas.  I loved how you adored Taylor especially when you always called her your "Princess."  I loved how you used to tickle me when I was little.  It made me laugh so much.  I loved how you always cooked the best meals for our family.  I want you to know how very much I love you.  I will miss you dearly.  There will not be one day that I won't think about you...
